Conclusions:
Our results provide preclinical support for the
antidepressant-like action of methylone, consistent with
initial clinical findings in patients with PTSD and depression.
Together, this suggests that methylone may have clinical
utility for the treatment of depression and other CNS
disorders in which classical antidepressants are efficacious.
